For New York homes and apartments. Start with what you’ve noticed, the rooms involved, and the questions you need answered.
WHAT TO EXPECT. A PLAN FOR YOUR HOME.
From the first inspection to checking the results, every step has a purpose.
STEP 01
INSPECT & IDENTIFY
We examine signs of activity and likely hiding places to understand which areas need attention.
STEP 02
PREPARE & TREAT
We explain the treatment approach and preparation, then carry out the plan for the affected space.
STEP 03
CHECK & FOLLOW UP
We review activity after treatment, discuss monitoring, and explain the next steps if signs persist.
TARGET THE PROBLEM. CHOOSE THE APPROACH.
Our bed-bug treatment options include heat and targeted chemical treatment. The inspection helps determine the approach for your space, the affected belongings, and the extent of the infestation.
01
Heat treatment
Professional equipment raises temperatures in the treatment area to reach bed bugs and their eggs, including insects tucked into hiding places. Technicians manage the equipment and monitor the treatment conditions throughout the process.
We explain which belongings need to be removed or prepared, how access will work, and when you can return. Whole-room heat is a professional treatment; turning up the thermostat or using household space heaters is not a substitute.
02
Targeted chemical treatment
This approach focuses on the places bed bugs live and travel. Technicians use products labeled for bed-bug control as part of a plan that also includes preparation, inspection, and monitoring.
Follow-up visits help address continuing activity and newly hatched insects. Your service plan explains the visit schedule, preparation requirements, and product-specific instructions for returning to the space.
KNOW THE SIGNS. LOOK BEYOND THE BED.
Bites alone don’t confirm bed bugs. Physical evidence gives an inspection a clearer starting point.
Spots and stains
Check bedding and mattress seams for rusty or reddish stains and small dark spots. Note where you find them and take a clear photo if you can.
Insects, eggs, and shed skins
Adults are small, flat, and brown; younger bugs can be pale and difficult to see. Tiny pale eggs or shed skins around seams and crevices are other clues.
Nearby hiding places
Look around bed frames, headboards, and upholstered seating—not just the mattress. Bed bugs can also hide in narrow gaps near resting and sleeping areas.
YOUR QUESTIONS. CLEAR ANSWERS.
How do I know whether I have bed bugs?
Look for live insects, shed skins, small dark spots, or reddish stains around resting areas. Skin reactions can have several causes, so bites alone are not enough. Share your observations or photos; an inspection helps distinguish bed bugs from lookalike insects.
Do bed bugs only live in beds?
No. They can hide in upholstered furniture, bed frames, headboards, and nearby crevices. Tell us about signs in other rooms so the inspection considers more than the mattress.
Why can bed bugs be difficult to eliminate?
Their small hiding places and hard-to-find eggs make a thorough approach important. Treatment works alongside preparation and monitoring. Continuing activity may require another visit, which is why follow-up is part of the conversation from the start.
Which treatment is right for my home?
We assess the affected rooms, belongings, access, and extent of activity before recommending an approach. Heat and targeted chemical treatment have different preparation needs. We explain those differences and the follow-up plan before work begins.
Should I throw away my mattress or furniture?
Not automatically. Discarding belongings is not always necessary and moving affected items can spread the problem. Keep items in place until you have preparation instructions and ask how to handle anything that does need to be removed.
How many visits will I need?
The treatment method, extent of the problem, and activity afterward influence the plan. Chemical treatment includes follow-up visits; monitoring remains useful after heat treatment too. We discuss the schedule for your home rather than treating every infestation as identical.
Can you help with an apartment?
Yes. Our residential service covers homes and apartments. Share access arrangements and whether your landlord or building manager needs to coordinate the visit or discuss concerns about nearby units.
How can I reduce the chance of bringing bed bugs home?
Inspect secondhand furniture before bringing it inside. When traveling, check sleeping areas and luggage racks, and keep luggage away from beds. Reducing clutter at home makes inspection easier, but cleanliness alone does not prevent bed bugs.
How much does bed-bug treatment cost?
The quote reflects the space, extent of activity, treatment method, and follow-up plan. Tell us about the rooms involved and what you’ve noticed so we can define the scope for your home.
READY FOR THE VISIT? START HERE.
A little information helps us plan the assessment. Before treatment, we’ll give you preparation instructions for your home and the selected method.
Tell us what you’ve noticed
Share the rooms involved, when the concern started, and any photos or previous treatment details. Mention pets, access needs, and landlord or building-management coordination.
Keep belongings contained
Avoid moving potentially affected items into unaffected rooms. Use sealed bags when moving laundry, and keep cleaned belongings separate from items awaiting treatment.
Follow your preparation plan
Ask before discarding furniture or rearranging rooms. We’ll explain access, belongings that need special attention, and the instructions to follow before returning.
